'Orange Army' heading to town for 2022 Women's Euros quarter-final

THE “Orange Army” will be out in force in Rotherham tomorrow when the Netherlands take on France for a place in the semi-finals of the 2022 Women's Euros.

The defending champions are known for their large and colourful band of supporters and they are sure to bring an extra special buzz to the fans' party in the town centre (noon-6pm) and the match itself, which kicks off at AESSEAL New York Stadium at 8pm.

The Dutch arrive as Group C runners-up while Group D winners France have beaten Italy and fellow group qualifiers Belgium here and drew 1-1 with Iceland in searing heat on Monday night. That result saw Iceland exit the competition.

Saturday’s tie is the fourth and final 2022 Women’s Euros tie at the NYS, with the winners to face Germany in the last four.
