Mourners pay respects to Brendan Ingle

HUNDREDS of mourners paid tribute to legendary boxer trainer Brendan Ingle at his funeral today.

Two of the world champions that Brendan helped produce, Kell Brook and Johnny Nelson, were at the service at a packed Sheffield Cathedral as well as family, friends and acquaintances from inside and outside the world of boxing.

The service was also screened outside and the Cathedral flag flew at half mast.

The funeral procession set off from the Ingle gym in Wincobank for the Cathedral at 1pm.

Brendan died last month, aged 77, after a short illness.
