Mills goes in Millers clear-out

PABLO Mills is the big-name casualty among the six players released by Rotherham United today.

The former Derby County man, who has had four seasons at the club, joins Drewe Broughton, Andy Nicholas, Micky Cummins, David Haggerty and Andy Liddell in being told his contract will not be renewed for next season.

Mills played over 40 league and cup games for the Millers last season, including the play-off final defeat at Wembley. Originally signed by Alan Knill, the central defender/midfielder is one of the few survivors from the Millmoor era.

Manager Ronnie Moore said: "I would like to thank all the players for their contribution but I just felt that it was time for a change.

"Pablo has been here for a long time and he has done a great job but I just feel that it is time now that we turn the club around and bring some new faces in."
