Millers winger hoping to end year on a high

WINGER Ryan Williams is loving being part of Rotherham United's revival as they look to end the year on a high.

Three wins from the last four matches has altered the mood around the AESSEAL New York Stadium and Williams has featured in each of them.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's trip to Walsall, the Aussie told the Advertiser: "It's the first time in a long time we've had a settled team and everyone is starting to get a bit of confidence. You can see it now in the way everyone is receiving the ball, passing the ball and running forward and defending with confidence. It's really enjoyable to be playing in this team at the moment.

"We have ten points from a possible 12 and we just have to stick at it and try and stay unbeaten, that's the main thing."

Williams helped Rotherham to a thumping 5-1 win over Walsall in September but is wary of a reaction from the mid-table Saddlers this weekend.

He added: "They'll be wanting to do one over us because we beat them well, we'll be aware of that. We have to go to there with confidence but not be complacent. Hopefully we can go and take the game to them.

"Walsall drew with Bristol Rovers on Boxing Day, which isn't a bad result."
