Millers submit bid for Thomas-Moore

ROTHERHAM United have submitted a bid for Tranmere Rovers striker Ian Thomas-Moore.

The son of Millers boss Ronnie Moore has slapped in a transfer request at Prenton Park having been refused an extention to his contract.

Speaking after Saturday's goalless draw at Morecambe, Rotherham chief Moore said: "We put a bid in to Tranmere on Friday and they have not come back to us.

"It's a nominal bid in to see what the situation is. We have asked the question and we're just waiting for them to come back to us now."

Moore, who has also been foiled so far in attempts to land Jon Macken and Izale McLeod, added: "I have one or two other little irons in the fire.

"It's like a saga but sooner or later something has got to give and hopefully it will work out that we have an experienced striker in fairly soon."
