Vale were forced to play the entire second half a man short when scorer Luke Prosser was sent off for a second yellow card, just minutes after cancelling out Stephen Brogan's 31st minute opener for the Millers.

Moore said: "Our victory was totally deserved. It's never easy against ten men but we were patient and did the right things.

"I must be honest and say I didn't think it was going to come but we probed and passed and it was a tremendous finish in the end."

The win lifted the Millers up to fourth spot in League Two going into Saturday's long trip to Torquay.
