Millers injury update ahead of Tigers clash

ROTHERHAM United manager Neil Redfearn is hoping to have three more players available for selection when his side entertain Hull City tomorrow.

Defenders Stephen Kelly and Farrend Rawson and striker Leon Best have all being missing through injury in recent games but Redfearn confirmed yesterday that all three could be available for selection.

He said: “It’s massive having Kelly back.

“In the two games he played we kept two clean sheets and it’s no coincidence. He’s got a calmness about him and athleticism, obviously, because he’s quick.

“He has a good understanding and reading of the game and he affects things around him. He’s coming back at a time when we need him.”

Rawson is thought to be back training after undergoing surgery at his parent club Derby County while Best – who missed three games through suspension before picking up a groin injury – is back in light training.

Redfearn said: “It’s just managing it, seeing if we can get him (Best) through a game.

“I’m led by the physios. I was hoping he was going to be fit for Huddersfield. It’s something that has niggled on through training and sort of got on top of him a little bit.”
