Millers brush non-leaguers aside

ROTHERHAM United’s storming pre-season start continued with a 4-0 win against Ilkeston on Wednesday night.

ROTHERHAM United’s storming pre-season start continued with a 4-0 win against non-league Ilkeston on Wednesday night.

Manager Steve Evans used Danny Hylton and Kieran Agard upfront and the Millers started strongly with an early goal from Agard, assisted by new boy Michael Tidser.

After several changes at the break, Nicky Walker was again prominent up front and his hard work paid off with a powerful header which hit the back of the net.

Rob Milsom was the next to score to make it 3-0, out-running two defenders before netting.

The Millers weren’t complacent and Walker found the top corner to make it 4-0.

Rotherham are at home to Huddersfield on Saturday.
