RACER Roberto Merhi took Manor Motorsport back onto the Formula 3 Euroseries podium, with boss John Booth saying: “We’re delighted to be back where we should be.”

Competing in Sunday’s penultimate race meeting of the season at Dijon-Prenois in France, the 18-year-old Spaniard—who had three other rostrum finishes under his belt prior to the weekend—raced to the Dinnington-based team's first points finish since Oschersleben at the beginning of August.

Hhe then converted a fourth place grid start for the second encounter into a podium finish on Sunday, moving him back up the championship table into seventh place on 36 points.

Merhi is now just three points away from the coveted top six in his maiden season in the world's most competitive F3 series and his weekend tally of eight points has consolidated Manor's top-four placing in the team's table.

"It's been a long time since we were last in the points and on the podium, a couple of months for sure, so we're absolutely delighted to be back where we should be", said Manor team owner John Booth.

"Roberto's races this weekend have been fantastic. It's been a pleasing weekend for everyone."
