The Miners swept aside Loughborough University 4-1 on Saturday to reach the next stage, in which they were today paired with either Ramsbottom United or Winsford United.

Those two replay at Winsford next Monday after playing out a 3-3 draw last weekend. The next round is not Saturday, September 7.

A first-half hat-trick from Aaron Moxam helped put Maltby in command against Lougborough after an early strike from Anthony Wilson.

Main turn their attention to the FA Vase this weekend, with an away tie against Maine Road FC from Manchester.

In the same competition, Northern Counties East League counterparts Swallownest host Vauxhall Motors and Parkgate also have an home tie, against Chadderton.

There's a full local football round-up and more exclusive shots from the Maltby tie in Friday's Advertiser.
