Leading try scorer Seb Nagle-Taylor leaves Rotherham Titans

ROTHERHAM Titans’ leading try scorer Seb Nagle-Taylor has joined Championship outfit Hartpury.

Nagle-Taylor, the team captain, was one of the club’s success stories last season, his 21 tries helping secure a top-six finish in National One.

The No. 8’s tally was the second highest in the division behind Chinnor’s Craig Holland (25). Nagle-Taylor joined from Jersey Reds last summer.

His departure comes in the same week that top points scorer Alex Dolly left Clifton Lane for Championship club Nottingham.

Nottingham-bound Alex Dolly.

Nicknamed “magic boots," Dolly scored 211 points last term, the third best total in the division.

The Advertiser understands that utility back Callum Irvine is leaving to join a National One rival. He has been included in the Yorkshire XV to play Northumberland tomorrow (3pm) at Bradford and Bingley in the Bill Beaumont County Championship. Rotherham team-mates Will Dennis, Zak Poole and Henry Roberts are also in the starting line-up. Two other Titans, prop Rikki Stout and centre Harry Dunne, are among the replacements.

Titans’ recruitment plans, meanwhile, are said to be well advanced compared to this time last year, with the first names to be released soon.
