Joker book place in quarter-finals of FA Sunday Cup

Joker overcame Liverpool team Oyster Martyrs, themselves twice former winners, 1-0 after extra time in front of a good crowd at Maltby Main's Muglet Lane ground yesterday.

In what was a fine advert for Sunday football, the teams were locked at 0-0 after 90 minutes and seemingly destined for a penalty shootout until Josh Nodder popped up with an 110th minute winner.

Joker will know their quarter-final opponents later today, with teams from Redditch, Sunderland and Aylesbury also in the hat.
