Injury curse strikes Millers again

ROTHERHAM United striker Ryan Taylor will be out of action until November at the earliest after fracturing a metatarsal in his right foot.

Taylor, who scored both goals in the League Two play-off final defeat to Dagenham at Wembley, was hurt in a collision in training.

He is the third Rotherham player in a matter of months to break a metatarsal—Dale Tonge and Tom Pope are both still recovering from the injury.

Millers boss Ronnie Moore said: "I'm absolutely gutted for the lad and also frustrated that this type of injury has happened to one of our players again.

"He has broken the metatarsal in his little toe which is the worst one in terms of recovery time.

"Hopefully he will be back training around mid-November so it will be December when he will be back to match fitness."

With Adam Le Fondre and Paul Warne the only remaining fully fit strikers, Moore is now looking to bring in a loan replacement to bolster his forward line.
