In-demand Exodus keen to impress

GIANT centre-half Exodus Geohaghon has revealed that he turned down ten clubs before deciding to join Rotherham United.

Deemed surplus to requirements at Peterborough United after their relegation from the Championship, the 6ft 7in man mountain was snapped up on an emergency loan by Millers chief Ronnie Moore as injuries stripped his defence to the bone.

Geohaghon is looking for a fresh start after his career stalled at London Road.

He said: "I was transfer-listed at the back end of last season and basically told to find a club.

"I turned down ten clubs—eight from League Two—and it's just been a process of waiting for the right move.

"Obviously, Rotherham getting to Wembley last year was always a deciding factor because they are going in the right direction.

"I know a few of the boys who have been here—people like Pablo Mills, Darren Byfield and Reuben Reid. I spoke to them and asked them what it was like and they said it was a decent place to come.

"It was just a case of coming up here and getting my head down."

Geohaghon had to sit out the midweek cup tie at Peterborough at the request of his club but made a decent enough debut against Lincoln City last Saturday.

So would he like to stay?

"It's not a choice of mine, it's a choice of the management team at Rotherham and if they want me to stay then I'd be happy to extend the loan."
