They won 38-5 at Loughborough Students, collecting a bonus point along the way as they secured their first away win in National One.

Rotherham's back division caused huge problems against the section's bottom side, running in six tries through Ellis Abrahams, Connor Dever, Harry Dunne, Connor Field, Callum Irvine and Alex Dolly, who also tagged on four conversions.

"The conditions were wet and difficult but the lads were outstanding for pretty much all of the game," said Barker.

"They really stuck to our game plan, they didn't overplay and when we did play it was at the right time in the right areas of the pitch."

The victory moved Rotherham tenth in the table ahead of Saturday's clash against joint leaders Chinnor at Clifton Lane. Only four points separate top spot from Plymouth Albion in 11th.

Added Barker: "We know there's still a lot to come out. We did make a few mistakes but that's actually exciting for us as a group because we know when we eliminate some of those we can become a very good side in National One."
