THIS is the first look at Rotherham United's new stadium.

Artist's plans of the state-of-the-art ground were unveiled at Don Valley this afternoon with the countdown now on for the work to start.

The £20 million, 12,000 seater stadium will include office and dining facilities as well as the latest hi-tech lighting.

Work will start on the site in May with the main construction work due to commence in June. The ground will be open for the start of the 2012-13 campaign.

Said chairman Tony Stewart: "We're delighted with how to stadium will look. I'm thrilled with the fuinal designs and it will be a facility that our fans can be proud of."
