ROTHERHAM swim star Nick Grainger exploded with delight after claiming a gold medal at the World Championships in Budapest.
Nick, from Swinton, teamed up with fellow Brits Stephen Milne, Duncan Scott and James Guy to claim Great Britain's fourth gold of the plum event with a fabulous victory in the men's 4x200 metres freestyle relay.
And he couldn't contain his delight afterwards.
"When I was on that podium was it absolutely fantastic, having a team like this is brilliant," he said.
“When James touched at the finish, I thought I almost took Duncan out, running in for the hug.
“It’s the time of my life, I can’t express it in words."
