Girls...get your boots on!

The games will take place at Dearne Valley College, Manvers, on Thursday from 9.30am-2.30pm and the competition is open to Y7 and Y8 girls from comprehensive schools throughout Rotherham.

The winning team will receive a full school kit and certificates and medals will be given to the runners-up.

The event is sponsored by Broadsword UK, a leading local supplier of print and display products to schools in South Yorkshire.

Dale Spiby, the Millers' head of community, said: "Its great that Broadsword want to help the Millers' deliver on their key aims of inclusion and participation. If successful, we would hope to repeat this year on year."
