Forget the cup, says Millers striker

LET'S concentrate on the league.

It's a cliche and it's one of the Millers have had to trot out earlier than most after their swift cup exits of recent seasons.

Millers striker Ryan Taylor used those words after Wednesday's FA Cup defeat at York but it might have been different had Rotherham managed to convert one or two of the chances he set up in the first half.

Taylor, Rotherham's best player on the night, said: "The two halves were like chalk and cheese really. In the first half we were quite good and we had three golden opportunities and didn't score them but in the second half they punished us.

"I set up three good chances in the first half so it was very positive for me but in the second half I didn't get involved as much and it turned out to be a really disappointing game."

Taylor added: "It wasn't a good result for us but we can't get down. Everyone wants to go far in the FA Cup and have a good run but it wasn't to be. We have to try and forget about this and push on and concentrate on the league."

The Millers' League Two programme resumes tomorrow away to Crewe Alexandra.
