Fantastic result, says Scott

BOSS Andy Scott was quick to praise his side after the Millers scrambled into the second round of the FA Cup at Barrow.

For 80 minutes Scott's side looked like they were on their way out of the competition as victims of another giant-killing act against the Blue Square Premier side.

A 16th minute strike from Paul Rutherford put the hosts in front and Barrow played the better football until they faded after the break.

United still looked second rate until a goal out of the blue from Lewis Grabban dragged them level and then a harsh penalty four minutes later saw Grabban snatch an unlikely winner from the spot.

Said Scott, whose reward was a second round toughie at Shrewsbury: "Games like this are always difficult but we worked hard and got there in the end.

"It was a fantastic result and the character of the whole squad was magnificent."
