England U19s too strong for Armenia in UEFA U19s Euros qualifier at AESSEAL New York Stadium
Two goals in each half sealed a 4-0 victory as Ian Foster’s Young Lions made it two wins from two in the chase for the one and only qualifying place from their Group for the finals in Slovakia.
Only the East Stand was open for this afternoon’s fixture and the good sized contingent of fans in it were treated to a dominant England display against opponents who had also been beaten 4-0 by Portugal in their opening qualifier.

Hide AdSpurs man Alfie Devine’s sweet finish into the bottom corner had England in front early on and the lead was doubled when Nurak Manukyan diverted a corner kick into his own net.
Jarell Quansah, who plays his club football with Liverpool, added the third goal early in the second half before the contest exploded with two dismissals in the space of a few minutes for Armenia’s Hamlet Minasyan and England’s Liam Delap, both for two bookable offences.
Although Armenia took advantage of the extra space to ask more questions of the England defence, it was the Young Lions’ day.
Samuel Edozie put gloss on the scoreline when he took a return pass from Sheffield United’s Daniel Jebbison to finish emphatically.
