Early doubts over games

BOTH Rotherham United and Rotherham Titans will start work today to try and get this weekend's games on - but the big freeze might have the final say.

The Millers are scheduled to face Aldershot Town at Don Valley and the Titans should be at home to Llandovery in the British and Irish Cup opener.

Both ground are under a covering of snow and officials at the respective clubs will consider their options before removing it.

But with temperatures set to continue well beflow freezing, there are already doubts over both.

Said Titans head coach Andre Bester: "The snow is actually keeping the surface from freezing but there are plenty of other things to consider as well, such as spectators getting too and from the grounds."
