Hide AdHe didn't feature in the corresponding fixture last season but did play when Wednesday struck twice late on to down the Millers at the New York Stadium a year ago.
Mattock was content to shake hands and move on and while it will be strange to be in the away dressing room, he insists Rotherham can make a good local derby of it and give as good as they get against the other leading teams.
"Hopefully it's won't be too hostile at Hillsborough. I didn't leave on bad terms, I left on good terms," he told the Advertiser.
"It was a good club and I enjoyed the three years that I was there but I'm a Rotherham player through and through now and I'm looking forward to going there and hopefully getting a win.”
