Cricket officials probe abandoned South Yorkshire Senior League fixture
CRICKET officials are investigating an abandoned local cricket match.
Oughtibridge refused to continue their South Yorkshire Senior League Championship fixture against visitors Whiston Parish Church on Sunday after what a report described as an "unpleasant incident."
The home team were 82-5 when the umpires had to call the game off.
It will be the subject of an umpires' report.

Hide AdBoth clubs declined to comment and the league said it could not make a statement while investigations continue.
Whiston collected four league points due to the concession.
The two teams are due to play each other again at Whiston on Saturday.
