The former Ealing and Jersey player, snapped up by the Clifton Lane men as part of a sea-change in playing personnel, starred in Saturday's opener with a hat-trick of tries.

And heach coach Joe Barker says he was delighted with the way the new captain led the line, despite the 34-33 defeat against Old Elthamians.

“I think that as a group the lads put in a great shift," said Barker.

"But I have to give a special mention to Seb, who put in a very destructive and powerful performance and also to Callum Irvine, who I thought bossed the game very well at 10 and who I thought showed his Championship experience.”

Nagle-Taylor will keep the no.8 shirt for this Saturday's trip to Darlington Mowdem Park (3pm) as Rotherham look to get off the win mark against the side that finished second last season.
