The group of girls, all of whom are members of the Trailblazer Allstars, were able to join up with the national team after two years of tryouts.

Alli Forster, whose daughter Georgia-Mae Forster was one of the excited girls jetting out to Florida, said: “They did an amazing job and Team England placed fifth in the senior level 6 all-girl category, which was an amazing achievement as it was their first time in the competition at this level.

“The girls are amazing role models for the rest of the club and of course for Rotherham.”
