Brinsworth Whitehill JFC receives defibrillator from Paul Heritage Goalkeeping Schools

A LIFE-SAVING defibrillator has been presented to a busy football venue.

Paul Heritage donated one of five to Brinsworth Whitehill JFC, which uses the Phoenix Sports Ground along with Phoenix FC, Brinsworth DC, AFP, Rotherham Schoolboys and Rotherham United Whitehill Women and Girls.

The defibrillators were bought from Christmas fund-raising at Paul's Heritage Goalkeeping Schools.

The equipment, which is used to revive people from sudden cardiac arrest, will be on hand for players, referees and spectators if required.

Whitehill secretary Ian Walker said: "It is a fantastic gesture from Paul. Hopefully the defibrillator will not have to be used but it gives us a feeling of assurance that we have this available at our home games and training sessions."
