Brick fans' final call

UNITED fans who joined the ill-fated Buy-a-Brick scheme seven years ago have been urged to contact organisers of a plan to honour their support.

Hundreds of supporters paid money for a commemorative brick to form part of a wall at the new main stand at Millmoor—only for the cash to be swallowed up amid the club’s then financial problems.

The Millers have since agreed to make the scheme by erecting a plaque at the New York Stadium, but fans group Millers Trust say they’ve only managed to contact 700 of the 1,000 subscribers and that time is running out.

The Trust will have a special stand at tomorrow’s game against Hereford—adjacent to the club shop at Don Valley—where fans who originally bought a brick can confirm their details in order to confirm a place on the plaque.
