BREAKING: Goalkeeper departs Millers

GOALKEEPER Richard O'Donnell has left Rotherham United and signed for League One rivals Northampton Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old was signed from Bristol City just under a year ago and was given the number one jersey for the 2017/2018 campaign.

But the former Sheffield Wednesday man - who turned out 27 times for the Millers - lost his first team spot to Fulham loanee Marek Rodak and has had to settle for a place on the bench in recent weeks.

Northampton currently sit third from bottom in the League One table.
