Boss Paul Warne reacts to Blackburn Rovers' offside goal in Rotherham United's 1-1 draw

Manager Paul Warne brushed aside his frustration after a goal which shouldn't have stood cost Rotherham United the chance of a famous victory at Blackburn Rovers.

Replays showed that Bradley Dack's 81st-minute equaliser should have been disallowed because provider Ben Brereton was offside.

Warne's men survived a second-onslaught against a team that have lost only once in 29 Ewood Park league outings to earn a point and the Millers boss was philosophical about  the late strike which cancelled out striker Michael Smith's 75th-minute headed opener.

"Their goal is offside," the Millers boss said. "I'm not being a baby about it because they definitely deserved a goal, but it's just disappointing that we might have hung on for three points which would have made it a very good day."

Rotherham are now unbeaten in their last five Championship matches, three of which have been away.

"It's a point gained, not two dropped," Warne said. "I thought we started the game really well.

"For 25 minutes, we were excellent. We were in and around Smudge (Smith) getting second balls.

"It's a difficult place to come to. Their home record is phenomenal. They've lost one in 30-odd games and beat Leeds United here not long ago."
