Ball completes belated loan switch to Bradford City

ROTHERHAM United striker David Ball has finally joined Bradford City on a season-long loan.

Paperwork for the switch to the Bantams was submitted on transfer deadline day last Friday but confirmation didn't come from the relevant bodies until today.

Ball joined the Millers from Fleetwood at the start of last season on a two-year contract, making 38 appearances and winning promotion to the Championship in his first campaign.

Although a player with undoubted talent, the Millers' challenge has been to get the best out of him consistently. The 28-year-old has made only three appearances this term, two of them in the Carabao Cup. His sole league appearance was in the opener at Brentford

Bradford have made a slow start under young coach Michael Collins in League One, losing four of their opening six. They were beaten by Fleetwood on Saturday.

The Bantams' squad includes Ball's former Millers team-mate, goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell.

City's next match is at home to Everton U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy tomorrow.
