STUART SENIOR had a good week last week by winning first the Multi-Pond Match at Ravenfield and then the Kilnhurst and District AA match on Baker's Pond.

The former was held on the Bridge Pond where Stuart had one carp and some silver fish for a winning total of 16lbs 9ozs from peg 9.

Neil Humphries at peg 4 was second with a pole and maggot catch weighing 9lbs 3ozs with Graeme Herbert third with 7lbs 9ozs despite losing 15 carp!

Section winners were Dave Howitt and Lee Bowling.

Stuart's second success came with an 11lbs 14ozs catch from Baker's which left Tony Copnell's 10lbs 7ozs in second place and Don Senior's 9lbs 2ozs in third.

Paul Hunt was fourth with 8lbs 2ozs and Dave Howitt and Glynn Bramham joint fifth with 7lbs 12ozs. Section winners were Paul Hunt and Glynn Bramham.

Les Billups was the winner of last Thursday's match at Elsecar Reservoir fishing the feeder at 45m for 15lbs 10ozs from peg 6. Section winners were Love Tetley, 13lbs 12ozs, Alan Pounder, 9lbs 6ozs and Mark Carpenter 5lbs 11ozs

Nineteen anglers fished the Doncaster DAA midweek open at Southfield Reservoir last Wednesday where Jim Smith won with a 15lbs 10ozs net from peg 43. Mick Vials at the next peg, number 42, was second with 12lbs and the section winners were Paul Atkinson, 8lbs 12ozs, Kevin Vickers, 7lbs 11ozs, Douglas Jackson, 7lbs 4ozs and Barry Owen 7lbs 12ozs.

Mixed results from some of the commercial fisheries.

A relatively quiet week at Bank End last Sunday where Carl Harrison claimed victory with a 117lbs 6ozs net from peg 26. Mick Large at 28 was second with 109lbs 14ozs leaving K McJannet's 96lbs 4ozs in third place and Steve Bestall's 76lbs 8ozs in fourth. Malc Thompson was fifth with 72lbs 5ozs and Dave Swift sixth with 64lbs 4ozs.
