ANGLING: Perfect ten for Adrian George at Elsecar Reservoir
BREAM at both Elsecar and Southfield Reservoirs responded well to the warmer conditions with good weights from both.
Adrian George was the winner of last Thursday's match at the former with a ten-bream 34lbs 5ozs net from peg 16. Ernie Pym was second and a section winner with 20lbs 14ozs. Paul Donald and John Kelly also won their sections with 8lbs 11ozs and 9lbs respectively.
Sunday saw Elsecar hosting the Rod Harrison Memorial Match which was fished by 27 anglers. David Hiley had the best weight of the day with an eight-bream catch weighing 25lbs 2ozs from peg 35. Dean Cardwell took the second place with 15lbs 10ozs from number 22 leaving Ben Holmes in third place with 12lbs 10ozs. Section winners were Martin Dobson, 1lb 6ozs, Shaun Stokes, 8lbs 14ozs, Mark Carpenter, 5lbs 14ozs, Ian Docherty, 12lbs and Peter Parkinson 8lbs 10ozs.
