SOME good results from the club events on the commercials.

The Kepple AC fished their latest match on the Grebe Lake at Hayton where Oliver Littlewood had the highest weight with 92lbs 8ozs. Russ Downing was second with 83lbs 10ozs and Sam Green third with 77lbs 6ozs.

The section winners were Adam Beavers with 45lbs 4ozs and Craig Mac, 34lbs 6ozs. The golden peg wasn't won and rolls over to the next match at Messingham.

The Red Lion fished at Pairs Competition on a windy Danny's Island Lake at Hayfield which was sponsored by Andy Batham.

The winning pair were Derek Oldfield and Tommy Turner with a joint weight of 123lbs 5ozs.

In second place were John Hughes and Adi Butt who jointly weighed 104lbs 3ozs. Individual placings were, first Stephen Stafford, 67lbs 15ozs, second Derek Oldfield, 67lbs 1oz and third Adi Butt, 55lbs 14ozs.

The Horse and Jockey AC fished on the Curlew Lake at Grange Park at the weekend where Charlie Hurst was the winner fishing the pole with corn for 103lbs. Geoff Rutter was second using pellets to find 82lbs while Frank Hitchens stuck to the bomb with bread for a third placed 72lbs. Col Oldfield was fourth with 70lbs 5ozs with Mick Litchfield fifth with 52lbs 10ozs and Will Rutter sixth with 40lbs 6ozs.

The Duke Lake at Springvale was the venue for Killamarsh West End AC's latest match which Darren Denton won fishing the top two plus one for 117lbs 11ozs of skimmers and ide. Phil Dopson was second with 92lbs 8ozs while Pete Codman was the only angler to find carp in numbers weighing 88lbs 11ozs for third. 82lbs gave Gary Dodsworth the fourth place leaving Kev Rice's 80lbs 3ozs in fifth and Lol Lax's 76lbs 9ozs in sixth.

The Walkley Lads fished at Ranskill on the Match, Brook and Rainbow lakes last Saturday and where Phil Murphy fished the bomb with pellets to find a winning 133lbs 4ozs. Martin Parson's was second with 119lbs 7ozs edging Pete Morley's 112lbs 5ozs into third place and Chris Bradley's 93lbs 6ozs into fourth. Paul Burton was fifth with 84lbs 14ozs and Andy Batham sixth with 82lbs 4ozs.

Springvale was the venue for Rotherham's Aged Blind and Disabled AC. Ron Smith was the match winner with 92lbs 3ozs. Paul Rees was second with 70lbs 1oz ahead of Dave Benison, who had 65lbs 13ozs for third, and Rob Sloan, who weighed 62lbs 6ozs for fourth.

Section winners were Mike Rhodes, 59lbs 8ozs, Tom Amos, 62lbs 3ozs, Steve Roe, 61lbs 9ozs and Mike Stevens, 53lbs 6ozs.

Spurley Hey's anglers fished at Lodge Farm's Lily Lake where Jim Pugh found the highest weight with 47lbs 1oz.

P. Hodgkins was second with 35lbs 7ozs just beating Dennis Dodson who weighed 35lbs 4ozs for third and Mick Marshall who had 32lbs 8ozs for fourth. Section winners were Charlie Dagless, 26lbs 14ozs, Roy Waites, 29lbs 1oz, Dave Wordsworth, 26lbs 2ozs, J Wotherspoon, 25lbs 2ozs and T Allott, 4lbs 9ozs.

Ronnie Bradder led the way at the Ferry Boat Farm on Sunday, winning with small fish net weighing 24lbs 13ozs. Derek Jackson was second with 21lbs 5ozs leaving Rob Hitchens' 18lbs 2ozs in third place and Alan Holmes 17lbs 14ozs in fourth.

Reel Legends AC visited Lake View Fishery where Wayne North had the highest weight of the day with 38lbs 2ozs. Lee Shepherd was second with 21lbs 12ozs beating Paul Smelt, who weighed, 14lbs 14ozs into third place and Darren Feather who had 13lbs 9ozs into fourth. Ron Ayrton was fifth with 13lbs 8ozs and James Britton sixth with 12lbs.
