Now a qualifying event for World and European Sprint Triathlon Championships, the festival attracted competitors and supporters from across South Yorkshire and beyond.

More than 800 athletes of differing standards took part in five individual events during the weekend—the third of its kind held at the park.

Festival promoters One Step Beyond's managing director Teresa Hamilton said: “It is a fantastic coup for Rotherham to host one of British Triathlon Federation’s national qualifying events and it’s a credit to the speed with which the popularity of the Rother Valley event has grown over the past three years.”
