Venue poser for table tennis teams

TABLE tennis teams are desperately looking new bases after the door was closed on a top local venue.

A change of ownership at London Scandinavian at Ickles has led to local clubs JSM and LSM being asked to find alternative places to play.

Now the seven teams affected are on the hunt for new homes and have put out an appeal for help as the countdown continues to the start of the new season in September.

Spokesman Dave Sayner said any suitable venues would be considered, whether they be village halls, social clubs or other local buildings. The teams would be willing to pay.
