Two out of two at New York

ROTHERHAM United made it two wins out of two at the New York Stadium as they came from behind to beat local rivals Doncaster Rovers in a friendly last night.

Goals from Mark Bradley and trialist Kieran Agard cancelled out a stunning strike from  David Cotterill to see the Millers win 2-1, completing their second comeback win in three days having done the same in Saturday's stadium opener against Barnsley.

Manager Steve Evans, who made five changes to the starting line-up after four players were struck down by a virus, saw Cotterill give Doncaster the lead in the 54th minute with a spectacular drive across Andy Warrington.

Defender Bradley levelled just after the hour when he found himself in an advanced position to fire beyond Doncaster goalkeeper Gary Woods.

But it was left to the former Yeovil Town forward Agard to seal the victory, lashing into the far bottom corner of the net from Kayode Odejayi's feed.

Rotherham took the opportunity to show off their new amber and black away kit to a crowd of just under 6,000 fans.

Next up is the stadium's first full-capacity game on Saturday against Scottish club Hearts.

Kick-off is 2pm and tickets are on sale from Mangham house
