JAMES Toseland has revealed that speculation regarding  next season is already starting to emerge in the World Superbike paddock following a turbulent round nine for the Rotherham rider in Brno.

The 29-year-old was solid if unspectacular at the Czech Republic circuit qualifying in tenth before improving three places to finish race one in seventh, despite electronics problems.

Toseland asserted himself better in race two quietly working his way up the field to finish fourth—less than three seconds behind Italian Michel Fabrizio in third.

Fellow Brit Jonathan Rea took the race one honours but saw his chances of a double-winning weekend scuppered by championship leader Max Biaggi who led home race two.

And Toseland, who joined the Yamaha Sterilgarda team for the 2010 season after two years in MotoGP, insists eyes are slowly drifting to people's whereabouts for 2011.

"At this time of the year you are looking at next year and there were talks and things flying around in Brno," said Toseland.

"But I have got a great manager and I leave all those talks to him. I know things will be going on but I leave that all to my manager.

"In race one I had a problem with the electronics which weren't working as they should do so I couldn't get the exit speed I needed.

"I was surprised to finish seventh and in race two my launch control didn't engage, so I bogged on the line to start and I was last going into turn one.

"I thought I wasn't prepared to have next week off feeling miserable so I rode hard and the bike worked really well."

Toseland picked up 22 points for his efforts in Brno and sits sixth 192 points away from championship leader Biaggi—who has won five of the last six races—with 160.
