Titans will learn from defeat: Blackett

COACH Lee Blackett says Saturday’s defeat in Ireland will realign Rotherham Titans’ focus ahead of a string of Championship toughies.

Titans went down 27-25 in Connacht in the British and Irish Cup, losing out to a last-gasp penalty, and Blackett says the defeat caused plenty of hurt in the camp.

Rotherham head to London Scottish tonight to resume their Championship campaign and with games against Jersey, Leeds and Bristol, looming, Blackett knows his squad will be in the right frame of mind.

He said: “The players were down after Connacht.

“The defeat out there will help us massively going into the Scottish game because it has re-focused the players and is probably the kick up the backside they needed."
