Titans stutter to victory

TITANS reached the half-way mark in the regular Championship season by notching their sixth win in 11 games.

They beat Moseley 28-17 at Clifton Lane on Saturday after an unconvincing performance to stay on target for a place in the promoption play-offs.

But coach Andre Bester knows that Rotherham will have to do a lot better if they are to make an impact in the end-of-season shennanigans.

First half scores from Colin Quigley, plus a penalty try and  two penalties and two conversions from Juan Pablo Socino left them 20-6 up at the turn-around.

But the midlanders came back well and were at one stage just a score behind with Bester left concerned after his side were outscored 11-8 in a dull second half.

Titans are away to Bedford on Saturday.
