Titans star up for top award

TITANS flanker Alex Rieder has been nominated for the Greene King IPA Championship Player of the Year Award in association with the RFU.

The Greene King IPA Championship Player of the Year Award in association with the RFU, presented at the RPA Players’ Awards 2015, is awarded to the player who has been voted as the most outstanding in this season’s Championship and will be unveiled during the awards ceremony to be held at Battersea Evolution, London, on Wednesday 13th May.

The award was voted for by the Captains of each Championship club.

Other nominees for the Greene King IPA Championship Player of the Year Award in association with the RFU are:

Mark Bright – London Scottish

Matthew Morgan – Bristol Rugby

Rieder said: “It’s an incredible honour to be nominated amongst two fine players in Mark Bright and Matthew Morgan. The Championship has produced some amazing talent this year and competition throughout the league has increased, so to be nominated out of such a strong contingent of players, remains a massive privilege.”

A Titans player scooped the award last year Juan Pablo Socino was voted as the best player by the captains of Championship sides.
