Titans problems to be detailed at forum

THE future of Rotherham Titans could become clearer at a special fans forum tonight.

The Championship club could be forced out of their Clifton Lane home after a new lease was put on the table, effectively making it impossible to play professional rugby at the ground.

As revealed in last week's Advertiser, Titans could now be left to look for a new home as early as this September.

They were last week given notice to quit the ground by the land-owning Rotherham Athletic Company unless they sign the new agreement, which includes a no-go zone along one side of the ground and won't allow for a new 5m safety curtain to be imposed around the pitch as demanded by the RFU. Club officials say that and other demands will possibly mean the end of professional rugby at the ground.

Fans have been invited to a special session of Titans Tuesday at the clubhouse, starting at 7pm.
