The previous year, Leinster were pushed to the limit by Newcastle Falcons before winning a thrilling final 18-17 in extra-time.

The Irishmen beat Plymouth and Jersey home and away and Camarthen Quins at home, but surprisingly despite that 67-12 win they lost by two points in the return in South Wales.
Rotherham coach Lee Blackett knows it will be a toughie.
“We’ve taken the British and Irish Cup seriiously and that’s taken us to the quarter finals,” he said. “Now we obviously want to take it even further but we know how difficult it will be this weekend.”
