Titans get ready for Bedford trip

COACH Andre Bester will today begin his build-up to Saturday's Bedford biggie after his side posted four hard-fought points against lowly Plymouth.

Albion, bolstered by the arrival of new coach Pete Drewett, were feistier opposition than the form guide predicted, battling back from conciding two tries in the first 20 minutes. Rob O'Donnell and Ed Tellwright were the scorers.

But Titans then struggled to make more headway and had to settle for an unremarkable 20-8 victory.

Said Bester: "We knew it could be a 50/50 game because of the conditions and we made the mistake of playing at their tempo.

"But we're pleased to take four points from the game, which takes us nearer to the play-off goal of 50.

"Now we'll look forward to Bedford, which is one of the toughest games on the fixture list. We'll be a lot sharper for that one."
