Titans blood 11 newcomers

TITANS will give starting debuts to ELEVEN players in tomorrow’s Green King IPA Championship opener against Moseley.

And head coach Lee Blackett says the Clifton Lane men are straining at the leash to get into the thick of the action as the season sarts with the double-header at Castle Park.

Blackett has brought in a raft of new faces ahead of what will be the toughest-yet Championship campaign and he’s says the pre-season feelgood factor in the camp will count for nothing when tomorrow’s game kicks off.

“Everyone’s ready to go and to be honest the last three weeks have been a drag because they’re all so keen to play,” he said.

“We know Moseley will be tough but I’m happy with the side that will play. Of course it’s important that we start with a win and that’s the target and it’s only when the game starts that we’ll know where we are."
