They gave me everything, says Scott

NEW manager Andy Scott was delighted with the Millers' commitment in their 0-0 draw against Hereford United at Don Valley Stadium on Saturday.

In charge for the first time, Scott saw his side dominate virtually from start to finish and force several goalline clearances and fine saves from Adam Bartlett.

Scott said: "Everything conspired against us. That's as dominant a side I've seen in a League Two game in my time as a manager.

"We were very very comfortable and created so many chances and forced countless blocks on the line that bounced the wrong way for us. We just couldn't get it over the line, but that's life. The players gave me everything they had and the crowd appreciated that."

The draw was extra frustrating because teams above in the table all dropped points.

Rotherham trail Gillingham in the final play-off place by four points with four games to go, one of which is at home to the Gills on Easter Monday.

The Millers are away to Northampton Town on Friday night (7.45pm)

"We are still in the hunt," added Scott.
