Sky date for Rotherham boxer

RISING Rotherham boxer Chad Gaynor has the chance to showcase his skills before a TV audience this weekend when he fights on a European championship bill.

Gaynor is on the under-card to Jamie McDonnell's EBU Bantamweight title defence against Belgium's Stephane Jamoye at the Doncaster Dome on Saturday, going out live on Sky.

It's another feather in the cap of the unbeaten Gaynor, who was selected by promoter Frank Maloney having impressed with some slick performances since turning pro.

His opponent is Mark McKray.

Maxi Hughes, Gaynor's stablemate at the Millennium Boxing Club, is also on the bill.

Millennium trainer Jamie Kennedy said: "It will be a great experience for Chad and Maxi and it's great exposure for them."
