Season tickets selling well

ROTHERHAM United supporters are snapping up tickets for the club's inaugural season at the New York Stadium.

Season ticket presentations at Riverside House are now in full swing with the club receiving an overwhelming response from existing season ticket holders securing their seats for the historic 2012/13 campaign.

Season ticket holders have been given an exclusive presentation of the Millers new £20m facility and the chance to pick their seats - with more than 1,300 tickets sold in just two weeks.

Steve Lewis, head of Commercial for Rotherham United, has been delighted with the interest from supporters.

He said: "Presentations have been well received and the turnout has been excellent. I was at Riverside House last week and I could feel a real buzz of excitement from the fans choosing their seat for the first time.

"It's an opportunity that doesn't come around every day; this will be our inaugural season in what is shaping up to be one of the best sporting facilities in the area, and it's clear to see that the fans want to make sure they can make the most of it from the best seat possible."

The presentations have become so popular that the club is now urging any season ticket holders who have yet to watch or book a place at the presentation to do so before the end of March.

Steve added: "Bookings have been high for nearly all of the presentations so it is important for fans who are keen to have a first hand look, to book now."

Youngsters under eight will be able to watch the Millers for free next season. They can benefit from a free season ticket with every full priced adult or full priced concession season ticket purchased for the Ben Bennett Family Stand. The club is also offering families a 10 per cent discount on the price of family season tickets in the Ben Bennett Family stand.

For the first time, the club has also introduced a direct debit scheme so fans can pay a deposit and spread the cost of their season ticket over a year.

Adult season ticket prices behind the goal and quadrants start from £340 a year, with concessions from £205 and junior prices (under 16s) from £105.

In addition, family discounts of 10 per cent are available in the Ben Bennett Family Stand, with Under 8s going free with full paying adults and concessions (this offer applies to the family stand only).

The presentation events are held at the club's new marketing suite in the Library, Heritage and Arts space, in Rotherham Council's new Riverside House, on Main Street, in Rotherham, which is adjacent to the stadium.
