MANAGER Andy Scott hailed a “fabulous three points” after Rotherham United battled to a narrow victory at Hereford United.

Goals by Johnny Mullins and Alex Revell had the Millers 2-0 up inside the first half-hour before the home side hit back to level by half time with strikes from Yoann Arquin and Delroy Facey.

Mullins’ second of the game midway through the half sealed a 3-2 win.

Scott said: “We were 2-0 and up cruising but then it was suddenly 2-2. The organisation at the back was very poor.

“I had to make changes at half time and although it wasn’t a pretty game, we looked a lot more comfortable and defended higher up the pitch and dealt with things. Our midfield four had an off day but we got away with it and if you look at the kick in the teeth we had losing the lead and Jon Harley coming off with concussion, it was a fabulous three points.”

The victory lifted the Millers to within two points of the League Two play-off frame ahead of next weekend’s home date against AFC Wimbledon.
