Scott looks at loan switches

THERE could be loan transfers in and out of Rotherham United as manager Andy Scott looks to tweak his squad.

He has already stated his intention to bring in cover at left-back but with his fringe players in need of game time, some might be going out on loan.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Dagenham and Redbridge, Scott said: "We tried to get a couple of players in before the transfer deadline and weren't successful for one reason or another.

"There may be a possibility of revitalising one of those deals and getting someone in and we'll be working on that. But there's other options we have now and it may be that we get a couple of players out on loan as well because there's only a certain amount of reserve fixtures and some players need to be playing regularly and with the amount of games we have got coming up, we need players who are match fit."

Goalkeeper Conrad Logan, who took a blow in the face in last weekend's defeat at Swindon Town, is expected to be fit tomorrow having undergone repair work on his damaged teeth and nose.

Centre-half Troy Brown is back from Wales U21 duty but there will be at least one change to the starting 11 due to the suspension of midfielder Danny Schofield for his red card at the County Ground.

Kick-off is 3pm.
